Matt is an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Psychological Science.
After graduating, Matt worked as a Support worker at large NGO working in their accommodation team. He worked with participants who were transitioning out of institutional care, working closely with the clinical team to implement Behaviour Support plan strategies with participants, focusing on their strengths to increase their confidence with achieving their goals.
Matt then moved into a Behaviour Support Practitioner role supporting participants living in supported accommodation and day programs before moving to a multidisciplinary clinic supporting children and their families.
Prior to joining the Mindtree Collective team, Matt worked as a Lead Behaviour Support Practitioner supporting participants with complex behaviours of concern. Matt was responsible for providing clinical supervision to a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Matt is passionate about supporting individuals to live their best lives, regardless of past setbacks or daily challenges. He believes a significant aspect of behaviour support is to advocate for his participants, many of whom cannot tell their own stories. He is continually inspired by the bravery of our participants in facing their challenges.
