Prior to commencing as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Katie dedicated 12 years working within forensic settings alongside people with high-risk behaviours, as well as supporting them to make big changes in their lives. Throughout this work experience, Katie demonstrated the ability to manage complex and challenging behavioural disorders while adapting to the needs of the individual.

Katie is known for her proactive and positive approach to seeking and enhancing change. She played a key role in facilitating the behavioural program 'Real Understanding of Self-Help'(RUSH) within the justice system, aiming to achieve behaviour change in vulnerable individuals and reduce the likelihood of reoffending or self-harm.

Katie is passionate about ensuring the best outcome for the participant, and their wellbeing is at the forefront of her work. Katie continues to learn and enhance her existing skills to be the best practitioner she can be. Katie has excellent communication skills and adopts a holistic approach.

Outside of work Katie loves her 3 rescue Labradors and returning to the country.
